This project is substantially complete. 

The Eagle Road and State Street intersection is the gateway to the City of Eagle and an important part of the downtown core. As a gateway, it serves vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians of all ages who want to access local businesses, neighborhoods, the elementary school, and the senior center.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD), working with the City of Eagle, is currently designing improvements to Eagle Road and State Street and the connecting roadway network which includes Olde Park Place, Plaza Drive and Aikens Street.

Goals

The goal of the street network improvements is to improve safety and mobility for all users while accommodating future traffic growth and creating a welcoming downtown environment.

    • State Street and 2nd Street - Night closure to replace crosswalk with colored concrete on October 30th.
    • Eagle Rd - Eagle Arch Sign being installed November 6-7th. Road Closed from 9am – 4 pm.

    We are so excited to celebrate the completion of the Downtown Eagle Mobility Improvements Project!

    The Ada County Highway District invites businesses and community members are invited to a formal Ribbon Cutting to mark the completion of the project.

    Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 13th, at 3pm. The ceremony will take place near the new City of Eagle sign, which will be installed next week (November 6-7).

    • Landscaping is ongoing. Water tie-in is required for basin.
    • Water tie in started October 22nd with an anticipated time frame of 4 days.

    State Street, Eagle to 2nd Street

    • Brick pavers ongoing on both sides.
    • Asphalt paving complete.
    • Colored concrete installed

    State and 2nd Intersection

    • Replacing crosswalk with concrete.
    • After 2nd Street is complete.

    Brick Pavers ongoing on both sides. Sidewalk started on north side. Silva Cells being installed. Paving complete. Colored concrete crosswalks being installed.
